The waves pounding against the sand
The stars shining down on her
As she stared into the distance
Desolate and alone
She's lost all sense of time
Unfeeling, unseeing
Falling into a black hole in her mind
No one can reach her
She's trapped in a box of herself
Not living
But not yet dead
Yet she knows all too well
That everyone dies
Some before their time.
So she stands there,
In her own little world,
Distressed and alone,
With all the waves crashing around her feet,
The twinkling stars mocking her from above,
As she waits for someone to come along and save her.
