I look through a lens tainted with happiness.
The world around me seems unreal.
I can barely hold myself in to let you through.
The tears burn in my heart and my happiness fades
But this barrier pulls through and keeps me from falling
Into you I delve with no remorse, no guilt
Yet I cannot let myself out to hold you in.
Abandonment drips from the edge of my face
Fear and love too.
I bleed from every orifice
But I am unfit to keep you in without myself
Inadequate I am
And alone with no way in
I feel your arms wrapped around me
To push me to my edge
I screamed at you
And I yelled at her too
But all I want
Is to let myself out and to allow you entrance within.
The world around me seems unreal.
I can barely hold myself in to let you through.
The tears burn in my heart and my happiness fades
But this barrier pulls through and keeps me from falling
Into you I delve with no remorse, no guilt
Yet I cannot let myself out to hold you in.
Abandonment drips from the edge of my face
Fear and love too.
I bleed from every orifice
But I am unfit to keep you in without myself
Inadequate I am
And alone with no way in
I feel your arms wrapped around me
To push me to my edge
I screamed at you
And I yelled at her too
But all I want
Is to let myself out and to allow you entrance within.
