No One's There

she sits again

staring at the flame

alone again

listening to the rain

she wishes to end

her clouded past

she says it'll be all over

that this is her last

she fights, and then

abruptly wakes up

all of her fear

silently errupts

she feels her hand

cold as ice

and looks to the sky

"you're not very nice"

she cries, but again,

tears cut her face

her heart beats painfully

at an irregular pace

she reaches out her hand

to anyone, anywhere

as she falls to her knees

no one's there
