"Even the Sky Cries"

Even the sky cries,

When a pure life dies,

The tears for above cleanse the pain,

That's why I have to love the rain

It'll never be the same,

Without her it's the imperfect picture in the frame,

So long she's been my comfort,

Knowing loyalty that can never be learnt

Even the sky cries

When a pure life dies

Extinguished by the love of one,

No suffering shall be done

She's a big light in our lives,

Hear our despairing cries,

She's never coming home,

Alone sits her half eaten bone

Even the sky cries

When a pure life dies

She's happy now and looking down

Upon us never will be a frown

The rain is stopping

Calm is coming

Her breath stops

As do her thoughts

Even the sky cries

When a pure life dies

It washes away the pain

And I welcome the rain

A/N: I know it is a little silly, but yes this was for my dog Vanessa that was put down earlier today. She has been a part of my life for tweleve years and now she is no longer suffering. Sleep well mousedog.
