Truth in Your Lies

Dear Mirror when you look at me,

Tell me what you really see,

'Cause I can't seem to make out what it is.

I try to run away from me,

Afraid of what I've come to be,

And now I'm sure that it has come to this.

There are no signs of stopping,

On this road,

I'm alone and everyone is laughing.

How could I let you be the one?

I thought that it was just for fun

But now I see through colder eyes

The truth in all your lies.

Dear Mirror when I see that girl,

The one who used to trust the world,

I wonder what a petty heartless fool,

Could rip away her lovely dreams,

And give her all these memories.

That man in her life was just so cruel.

There is nothing that I can say,

To make her stop crying,

She's lost all faith.

How could she let you be the one?

She thought that it was just for fun,

But now she sees through colder eyes,

The truth in all your lies.
