Served on A Platter
An elegant party
At a simple cottage
With friends gathered 'round
Through the music and dancing
A faceless man rises
Unnoticed by the large crowd
She reaches in
Scooping out his heart
Let it boil, let it simmer
Caterers march around
In their mint-colored suits
Serving it on a platter
For the pudgy woman in the corner
He feels betrayed
Yet there's nothing he can do
She's gone behind his back
Then stabbed him in the chest
And there she sits
Over in the corner
Snug in the arms of another man…
The man she loves most
