Weeping Tears of Green

She spent her entire life

Chasing lands she saw in dreams

You always called her crazy

She only wanted to be free

She painted you a willow

Growing lonesome by a lake

Weeping tears of green

All for her lost soul's sake

She liked to dance in springtime

When the leaves returned to green

You never could have known her

For you're blinded by what's seen

She hung a thousand wishes

From its limbs to give it life

The willow weeped still harder

As though giving up his might

She found the perfect rainbow

Covered by a sheen on dust

The sky would be her downfall

For the sky was not enough

His boughs lowered to the earth

And just as they did break

You finally came to see that

She left beauty in her wake
