Walked into the moonlight, moonlight
A road of friendly faces, tonight.
The lamps that light the streets, at night.
Flicker with their fires, burning bright.
And walk 'till there's sunrise, morning light.
Wipe away your tears, no more fright.
The fire left me cold, frostbite.
But you were by my side, my side.
You stopped to hold me closer, tonight.
The snow it's falling lower, with might.
You wanted to start over, and live life.
You tapped me on my shoulder, hold me tight.
A forgotten face remembered, your light.
You sparkled like a diamond, a radiant light.
Could I have been mistaken? Was I right?
But your eyes glistened, "Don't fight"
A solitary tear, from your right.
Instantly I knew it, I was right.
The winter breeze around us, chilled us white.
My hand touched your cheek, pink and slight.
Your lips pulled me in, couldn't fight
And warmed up my skin, I loved your sight.
You walked with me forever, every night.
And every night we kissed, holding on tight.
This I do remember, Christmas night.
I'll hold you forever, because THIS is right.
