Flying with Borrowed Wings

I've flown with borrowed wings

Floating on someone else's wishes

Gliding on somebody else's dreams

Beautiful, they are those wings

Radiant and so strong

Weaved with hopes and thrills

A duckling flying with eagle wings

And that since I've lived

I flew with borrowed wings

Like some treasured ore

The wings of dreams, the wings of deceit

Bestowed by those who flew before

How sickeningly far can I fly

Before the glory of the sun melts them

Will I burn, fail, will I die

Yet I fly with borrowed wings

Wishing that one day I'll find my own

Soaring in the wind
