Single Flower

The wind stirs in the distant years
Without a single soul to listen of listening ears
For death has swept the lands in masses
Leaving behind nothing more than life of shattered glasses
Broken dreams scattered across the empty plain
Tattered fighters struggling in vein
The rain falls, bloody tears
Cannot wash away all these fears
For death has finally taken
And the life? Forsaken
But through the darkness of death
In the shinning of dearth
Is a single flower, dusted in ashes
Marred by darkness as it dashes
A beauty of what life used to be
In the years of the open door and the living sea
But the doors have closed and the building burned
As the souls shall have learned
