THIS CHILD

This Child

I lay there,

my body surrounded by sand,

my ears hearing the waves,

my nose smelling the salt

my eyes starring into the stars.

There must be you,

between the stars,

you're there and I'm here

alone

a lonely child in the darkness.

I'm older now,

but there is a part of me

who is a child,

who stays a child,

my hole life.

This child is deep inside of me,

this child is scared of the darkness,

this child needs some body

this child needs a mother.

But nobody can replace you.
