The glossed blue of eyes
Shut tight
Was uncovered by my own ghostly fingers.
And in that moment,
I swear,
I finally became one with nothing
And everything with one.

Yet I still managed to leave these lips
Air tight
And deny the returning waves
That crashed in my lungs,
Yearning to dance on our hearts' shores.

For giving in to that,
Would've been an invitation to the sunset
And another goodbye
To my shadow's silent smile.
