The words you give to me

Reek of nothingness

And emptiness

You speak blankly

And dull, glassy eyes

Fail to see your words

You cannot make me come alive

And you cannot light a fire in me

You will not let me die,

Your words keep coming

And you make nothing happen

When I need so much,

Can you ever see the tragedy

That occurs behind dark eyes?

As we sit on the bench

Overlooking the park

Waiting for the rain.
