I walked through the park today
and the trees were coated
with a soft dusting of snow.

I used to love walking through here
hearing the snow crunch under my feet
and watching the squirrels scurry about.

Now I cannot even walk
without thinking of the days we spent here
and we used to climb these trees
and chase after the squirrels.

These memories play through my mind
and for a moment I can feel your arms
wrapped around my waist tightly to keep me warm
and your cold lips touching my cheek.

Then, suddenly, I am brought back to reality
and somberly I remember that you are gone
and the feeling of your lips on my cheek
is replaced by the coldness of my tears.
