The words so surreal

As they come out so smoothly

Committed- they say

It's the only way to save her

I want to ask why

But I dare not disturb

The family who is already mourning;

I think to myself

I could have been her-

So doped, Alone and afraid

Seeing white walls and cottony sheets

Smelling so putrid and clean

I could have been her

So close to the edge

One-step more; she's gone
