snap me a memory

we always take polaroids together
and it's always laughlaughlaugh at the polaroid camera
and when the print dries we crowd about
and snort at the funny expressions
(all the peace signs and cross-eyes)

we always take neoprints together
and it's always rushrushrush in the machine
and when the photos are taken we crowd about
and draw crowns and smiley faces all over
(all the 'we rock' and 'friends forever')

we always take videos together
and it's always hidehidehide from the camcorder
and when the videogirl says 'cut!' we crowd about
and laugh at the screwed-up faces we make
(all the hiding and chasing round classrooms)

but the most memorable instances
are when we're caught together at unsuspecting moments
and have the most amusing air ever
(it's these times that remain etched ad infinitum)

and when we're sad
these snapshots of history
never fail to polish up our colgate smile
a free bottle of cleverwhite teeth whitener
(those times i'll never forget)

pictures last forever
so snap me a memory.
