The moon is dusty
Yet an intense light blazes
Shadows start to dance
The spicy air revives them
Against the crackle of death

AUTHOR'S NOTE: There's some big bushfires burning and though I can't see any flames, I can definitely smell the smoke. It's an aroma that's caught my attention before, and it was the inspiration for this tanka :)
