You gotta die someday
By Shion

She was born in a up-nosed neighborhood
Her daddy said she was no good
She worked under the hood
Of her boyfriend's Mercedes Benz

She walked to school everyday
She never lost her sight of day
She kept her nose down to the ground
And never was too good for anyone

He met her in High School
Thought unlike the other kids she was cool
Because she knew how to act
But she didn't have to

He asked her to dance
Her daddy hated him
Said he was second-class
And she just shrugged it off and said

You gotta die someday
In some greatly horrible way
So you better live it out until then
Don't bother with that useless regret
When you don't have to discriminate

He worked hard after High School to make it big
She just followed in her dirty old rig
And when he did make it to the top
She told him to never stop

Her daddy died the day the movie came out
But she didn't hang around to pout
Went straight to the premier with him
Didn't blink until she was home
Then she cried all alone

He tried his best to comfort her
Then she took a deep breath
It was time to let go
And savor what she had left

You gotta die someday
In some greatly horrible way
So you better live it out until then
Don't bother to have regret
When you have to say goodbye to your friends

She was rounding with their first kid
When his car died in the street
She got out of the passenger's side
To take a look under the hood

It was then that drunk hit her
And he called the hospital
She was okay, but the baby had died
She let it all out on his shoulder
Though no one could be bolder
As they both cried

You gotta die someday
In some greatly horrible way
So you better live it out until then
Don't bother to have regret
When you haven't even said hi

After he got paid for the third film
She was in her workshop all alone
When he called her on the phone
To ask her out again

They got married in a courtroom
The judge mistook her for the groom
She just laughed when they said the 'I dos'
Then they had a two-week honeymoon

The next year she was pregnant again
And nine months they were both parents
He stayed home for a little while
As she got back on her feet
And he told his only son

You gotta die someday
In some greatly horrible way
So you better live it out until then
Don't bother to have regret
Even when they've got your neck

He stayed at home and raised the kids
As she worked hard to pay the bills
They had two sons and one daughter
And then came the day she died

She walked to her workshop
Somewhere around fifty
When she fell and hit her head
He hurried to the Hospital

As soon as he got the call
All three of their kids
Heard about the fall
The four walked in to find her there

The sheet covering her face
The tears started flowing
As she had found her place

When the got home one afternoon
After the funeral
They all went to their separate rooms
And you could hear him say

You gotta die someday
In some greatly horrible way
So you better live it out until then
Don't bother to have regret
When in the end you'll see them all again
No reason to get upset
