Broken Promises
Scattered lives, unknowing voices
Broken glass, screwed up choices
What way are you going, what way did you chose
It doesn't matter, either way you will lose
I'm going down road thirty-three
Wondering what happened to humanity
Messed up confusion, to much stress
The price you pay to gain success
Broken promises, broken lies
Bleeding hearts, crying eyes
Suffocating, dying to breathe
You will get broken, if you believe
Things are not lost, they're taken
Anyone who says different is mistaken
Shattered mirrors, reflected abhor
Crushed perceptions, unobserved lore
The knowledge that's known, but nobody shares
Everyday I meet with all their stares
What are they thinking, I just don't care
The lesson of, life isn't fair
Broken promises, broken lies
Bleeding hearts, crying eyes
Suffocating, dying to breath
You will get broken, if you believe
We can't see, blinded by greed
Willing to do anything to succeed
But at the end, when we're dying alone
In the end the truth will be known
The world is just…
The world is just…
The world is just…
Broken promises, broken lies
Bleeding hearts, crying eyes
Suffocating, dying to breath
You will get broken, if you believe
