To live a life eternal

Would be a wondrous gift

To see the worlds great changes

Yet to remain and live

As the crystal caged street lamps

Gain a nuclear glow

The wood turns into metal

As mans great power grows

Men still strive for freedom

To gain their truthful rights

The world to shift around them

While they try and end their fight

To watch the world keep changing

Yet be yourself unchanged

A blessing or a curse?

A pleasure or a pain?

Becoming cold and bitter

At the horrors never ending

But stuck inside this prison world

While death you are transcending

In a cold steel tomb that was your soul

To now forever lie

As friends and loves fade away

And all Gods people die

To challenge only life itself

When voice no longer sing

To live a life eternal…

…Would be a dreadful thing
