You don't read anymore, they say
You don't write anymore, they proclaim
Why my friend, you have changed
And all of this comes to such surprise
as if I've simply changed my mind
I reassure and grant you this
such a change has been long wished
Perhaps not wanted, consciously
but nonetheless, a necessity
As not to change is not human
that we would not want, my friend
Do not dismay if my tastes have changed,
with pastimes and hobbies too,
Because as I have changed, so have you.
