The Climb
By Luke Rook
The way that you stroke the rim of your tea
Is the way that you place your smile on me
Were that I was a leaf from that seed
I would blow with the wind and drift on the sea
A grape in the desert
A raisin in the sun
Nothing never hurts
What has this moment done?
The memories don't turn
For all that they shield
Is they do not know what they learn
When they find out what's revealed
Come morning '''tomorrow the sun will forget rise
Some remembrance will forget what you told me with your eyes
There is nothing called forever
What was held in the now
Goes into the past together with the passing clouds
The way that you touch your red lips to me
Is the way that you face the wave on the sea
Were that I wasn't what you wished me to be
I would die with the wind
Blown by your kiss on the breeze
Temptuous, flavored, savored fruit
All that there is
All that's for you
I want you
I need you
Summersault of the sun
And under the moon we will be as one
Someday the sun will disappear when it sets
One night will deny the day its light to shed
There is nothing that touches us with this night now
When nothing somewhat means something to us somehow
I look at your picture in my wallet
Falling through what I envision in my mind
The thoughts that are falling are the only thoughts that I find
Time grows thick with the vines
Emotions reach heights only reached by the climb
