Dusk

Shadow webs of blue and gray

Overhead a sky of red

Fiery maiden to darkness led

Into shadows her head to lay

Reluctant, graceful, dignity she shows

Quietly, softly, rapidly she goes

Goes back to regions underneath

Goes back to immer, ever sleep

Her maidens linger silently

Watching dark grow under tree

Until they too her way do go

Yet comes a maiden white and pure

A lantern to carry

While the sun does tarry

And to await the dawning

Of the morning
