Speak
-
Ever the sweet scent of dying wind flares,
As you stand there in the pouring rain.
Water slides down your midnight hair,
Making little trails on your face like falling tears.
Untold were your eyes as you turned to me,
Bestowing seduction like a crown of lead,
Leading me deep into your cold, cruel eyes.
---
---
Promise
-
Tying me down with rusting chains,
Imprisoning me like a bird in an unlocked cage.
A dare haunting me with watchful eyes,
Would I break this sacred thread,
That binds my soul to you?
---
---
Bleed
-
Born in the cold, weeping rain,
Son of the desires so cruelly raped,
You were named a bastard by those dying screams.
How was one to know that when I offered a hand in pity,
It marked the birth of a terrible sin.
I trace the bleeding scars you long ago gave,
Torn and ripped by a monster's claws.
I wonder if you remember those memories forgotten.
---
---
Untold
-
A demon in an angel's disguise you were,
Leading me under in a sea of deception,
For unbelieved is the truth if beautiful is the lie.
To a synonymy of a grave you took me,
For blind was my eye when I allowed the temptation,
Stripping me naked of what innocence I used to cherish.
---
---
Break
-
They say that if one gets too close to the sun,
He shrivels and burns, punished for his curiousity.
The sky above stopped and the ground was ashes,
When you left me a shattered heart of anger,
Me, a tainted girl screaming in rage.
It was raining the day of your abandonment,
You were the one who broke off the promise, not me.
---
---
Prayer
-
What sweet bitterness you have left me,
Will burn in my veins for all eternity.
Every scar, every tear, every wretched word you whispered,
And those wicked eyes that casted the spell will be remembered.
I will whisper a merciless prayer, a poisonous curse,
And this hunt forever will begin.
The raindrops shatter upon my dirty face,
My hair flies in the wind, my eyes are furious,
As I run forward to meet you,
Just standing there in the rain.

A/N: I had Nymphetamine by Cradle of Filth in my head for like, several weeks and i had this idea in my head for a while, so i wanted to write a poem with the feel of the song... you know, the emotion or whatever. I dunno, i just fell in love with the lyrics, how they were worded, the structure, how smoothly the lines flowed together.
