Wandering down this pathway
I still remember the world
Before destruction had reared its head
Before treachery overpowered love

The sun was once warm
I remember it beating down on my back
As I joyfully played my fears away
Innocence had never been so sweet

Then the storm began brewing
Monsters crept out from under the bed
Eager for some fresh blood
Needing to feed on purity

I remember that despondent day
When my world stopped turning
Fire raged within my brown eyes
And all tranquility was forever lost

Walking along this road
To the death of my soul
I remember my childhood
As it disseminates into damnation
