Just you and me

The sun shone through a sky so blue,

Waiting so long for a meeting due.

A heart full of longing and happiness true,

Yet the images flashed past casting a fading hue.

You and me if only we are like glue.

These feelings perhaps would just fade,

And the image of you in my head to me farewell bade.

All this perhaps a dream only made,

But such rapid beats my heart has made.

To you farewell I could not easily bade.

For these feelings would not easily fade.

In the core of my heart just you and me,

Taking residence as though we are home.

Someday, somehow you know it would be,

Deep inside, just you and me.
