This Little Light of Mine

The sunlight bounces off

Your cheeks and

Is diced into millions of

Happy pieces by

Your flowing lashes

Only to be absorbed by

The chasms that are

Your eyes

From there they

Illuminate your mind and

Your brilliant charm comes

Shining through to be

Spread thinly over

Those around you

They bask in the glory of

Your presence and

Are warmed momentarily by

Your ray of sunshine but

Are left feeling cold when

You turn away to

Shine your

Graces elsewhere

To know such love must be

A dream

Your very presence seems to

Exude happiness and

Your eyes scream,

"Count yourself among the

Blessed, for

Blessed you shall

Be." That is

Until someone turns out the

Lights
