Her face was a porcelain white

As she gripped her pillow ever so tight

Crystal-like drops rolled down her cheeks

Just like they had for so many weeks

As the hour hand ticked

The lump in her throat grew even more thick

There was so much pain

A pain that not even the longest amount of time could have slain

Broken, shattered, abused, and abandoned

All describe the remains of her heart

Her one wish is to go back to the start

She had waited all day

But by the end

A giant brick wall stood in her way

She picked up the shiny dagger

And drove it in

As she asked God to forgive her for this sin

Her face was a porcelain white

As it fell to the pillow that rainy night
