Shallow Water, Little Rock

Little rock abandoned in shallow water
It sank its anchor deep
Shallow water had force of giants
Pulling the rock's feet

Sometimes little rock was drowned
When shallow water rise
Little rock took long deep breaths
And calmed its anguished cries

Shallow water did not last
The drought came passing by
Little rock had held on till
Shallow water ran dry
