She said "Time is just a figment of our

overactive imaginations" and then she

crawled into the tiny hole in the floor

that she could never fit through before

her bones turned to delicate plastic perfection

and her hair was peeling into ribbons

as she fell just a little bit f a r t h e r

and each time she breathed in, she could

feel the rainbows filling the empty spaces

of her lungs,

making her wish she was a ballerina doll

or maybe a porcelain bride

(though she never quite understood the concept

of marriage, but just liked the dress).

There was glitter in her eyes

as she talked of fairies and princesses and

the way that the world was

beautifully corrupted and then,

she said that since there was no bottom

for her to crash into

she was really just flying upside down.
