Only One

Crushing a web so timeless
The strands of a dream that cling
Reaching no ebb of yesterday
Justly framed, cuffed in findings
Duskly frosted sightings

Enticed to have mistaken
Truisms, chanced belief in
And one to halve in love
Slivered and dissected the cores
All eyes apart from yours

And bliss can be wonder
As it falls and encircles
The bliss ends…
So I hold on to this

And I could have been the one
To write the context of the song
And I should not call it fated
Though I knew the words to come
Am I the only one?
Was I the only one?

Capture lies iridescent
Only to hear your whisper
All awry, as if I clutch no key
If solely I had less control
But lasting reigns to hold

This, as close as it will be
I'm held, I'm unrestricted
I don't know that you feel that way
If only it didn't hurt this much
If only it didn't hurt this much

And bliss can be nightmare
Once it falls and encircles
The bliss ends…
I can't hold on to this

And I could have been the one
To write the context of the song
And I should not call it fated
Though I knew the words to come
Am I the only one?
Was I the only one?

Silhouette, smile the way you did
Memory falls thin as time with you
No one left who knows
Iridescent lies
Were they true lies?

And I could have been the one
To write the context of the song
And I should not call it fated
Though I knew the words to come
Am I the only one?
Was I the only one?

A/N - Umm yeah, an update from me (for once). I know I'm ridiculous. Anyways...this song has been in the works since the sixteenth...I was just writing out random thoughts and this is the result. I've been polishing it up over the last little bit here and there, and now I feel it's done. Of course, I'll hate it in a week just like I do all of my other poetry and songs...oh well.

There's a different sort of rhyming scheme here rather than traditional A/B/C/B...if you're bored, read it out loud and see if you can identify it
