Vertigo

From here he can see everything,
The skyscape beneath him
A jagged trail of steel
Jaws reaching up to cleave him.
It falters in the pale twilight.

Colour.

The green, the yellow, the blue…
Oh, the deepest blues!
Purified shades, the finest strokes
From the far reaches of imaginations.
Array of brilliance and beauty.

Silence.

The life beneath him twirls and spins,
Oblivious to the heights he reached
Their meaning his own.
All in all he is struck with the inspiring
Complexities and simplicities

Fear.

It draws him closer
Gravity, inherent in space,
A force, a feeling,
A sickness to the core of his inner self
Intrinsic but alien, only to him.

Vertigo.
