Six year old Katrina and her mother pass a cluster of trees in the park one day. . .

"Mama, what are those hanging from the tree?"

"Those are the Nowhere Kids, dear."

"What are Nowhere Kids?"

"They are the teenagers who have no where to go."

"Why don't they have anywhere to go?"

"They have had tragedies in their liv-"

"What's a tragedy?"

"Something that happened that was very sad. They have had those kinds of things happen in their lives, and couldn't become happy again."

"Why can't they be happy? Something good is always around!"

"It's the way they are, dear. It is very sad."

"Well, I'm not gonna be a Nowhere Kid when I grow up."

"I hope you're not too."
