The last watt of the lone light bulb burned out, leaving the room murk black. Katrina pulled her knees in tighter as she snuggled farther into the solitary corner.
Chaos broke loose then.
Everything tumbled about, shaking and spinning. The temperature rose, everything was so warm. In the small space, she wondered how much worse it could get.
Then the metal door creaked open to reveal a face of horror.
"You're it!" It shrieked in a voice that sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
"Who the hell turned n the dryer while we were playing hide and go seek," She snapped.
Her friend gave a shrug and scampered off. Katrina stumbled out of the cold metal and muttered under her breath, "It is on…"
