I AM SO SO SO SO SO SORRY! If you all hate me I understand. I started university and I just forgot about my stories. Currently I'm trying to deal with school and work, but I promise at least an update every two weeks? Does that seem fair? Please forgive my absence; I hope it was worth the wait… enjoy!
SO! It's a miracle,
well no! It's not a miracle cause we're good and we deserve this.
Anyway! We got the gig! I'm so excited, we play tomorrow night and
we have a rehearsal tonight. I should take a picture of me and Kris
cause we've been smiling non stop since yesterday (when we found
out) Ahhh sigh… Alright well we're going to go practice
before the rehearsal. I know crazy, practice before the practice! We
just don't want to screw up, this could be our ticket!

Davin put down her journal and stood, stretching. He picked up the phone and dialed Peek's number…
"What's up?" Davin leaned against the window looking out on his pool.
"Nothing…" Peek hesitated. "How you been man? We haven't seen you at practice…"
"Yea, I'm sorry."
"It's alright Davin." Peek sighed. "But you gotta get outta that house… she wouldn't want you to shell yourself up like this."
Davin leaned his head against the window, its cool surface relaxing him.
"You should come out with us sometime… This Friday 'The Lilies' are playing a tribute, I think you should go…"
"I'll think about it."
"Alright, but, um, if you need someone to talk to, I got your back. Alright?"
"Thanks man, I appreciate it."
"It's nothing… later alright?"
"Ya." Davin turned off the phone and tossed it back on the sofa. He walked over to the television and popped in a tape. It was a MTV show – getting to know the band, or something, it didn't matter just as long as he could watch her talking, breathing, like she was alive again.
"So, would you say fame happened for you guys fast?" An interviewed asked the band, and the sat on a stage before a show.
They laughed. "No! We worked our asses off! I mean, yea we're young, but damn there were a lot of years in-between when we all worked shitty part time jobs and went to school working the band practice in there somehow." Kristine shrugged. "We struggled before we were discovered. And when did discovered it was a real lucky break."
"Speaking of being discovered… why don't you guys tell me a bit about that?"
The band looked to Oriel, who blushed and cleared her throat. "Well… it's actually a very funny story…"
Davin didn't need the tape to remember that story; it was so familiar in his mind. The first time he saw Oriel, the first time he spoke to her, he could never forget that…
"I think I'm going to be sick…" Oriel hung over the rail outside the 'Blue's House'. She looked paler then normal.
Kristine sat on the ground beside her. "You gotta stop working yourself up!"
"Oh okay, let me just tell myself to STOP GETTING SICK!" Oriel snapped.
Kristine laughed. "Oriel, you're good… I know it, you know it, and you just gotta start believing it." She stood, brushing herself off. "Now, get your shit together and let's get in there."
Oriel straightened taking a deep breath as a black limp pulled around the corner.
Kristine leaned over the rail to get a better look. "Who do you think that is?"
"The owner?" Oriel shrugged.
The door opened, and Davin stepped out.
"Holy shit…" Oriel muttered then threw up.
Davin took a step back seeing the dark haired girl puke. "She alright?" He questioned the girl patting the pukey's back.
She just nodded, a little wide eyed.
"Alright…" Davin nodded as Peek got out.
Oriel turned to her friend. "Oh my God… I can't believe I just did that…"
Kristine bit back a laugh.
"Please take me inside…"
Kristine nodded, and directed Oriel inside to their dressing room.
"Ew… looks like someone started partying a little too early." Peek laughed, and the two entered the building.
In the dressing room
"I'm not going on stage." Oriel shrieked, tossing herself onto the sofa.
"WHAT?" The band questioned.
Kristine smirked taking a bottle of water. "You'll never guess who's here."
"Ah who?" Ricky the dread stunned drummer asked.
"Fucking Davin and Peek from Wrong Turn." Kristine took a sip her water.
"Holy shit!" Their band mates began to speak at the same time asking questions, their excitement getting the best of them.
"And, get this – they get outta the car to see Oriel upchuck over the railing. It nearly hit Davin." Kristine laughed.
"OH SHUT UP!" Oriel threw a pillow at her friend. "It wasn't that bad…"
"Ah huh…" Kristine took another sip of her water averting her eyes.
"Oh my God!" Oriel wined and stuck her head into a pillow.
Kristine walked over and sat on the edge of the sofa. "It could be worse; you could have puked on him."
Oriel shook her head and muttered something.
A knock came at the door. "TEN MINUTE CALL!"
"Alright…" Ricky stood. "Let's get this show on the road."
The band got their things together leaving the room.
"Come on Oriel, let's show them what we can do…" Kristine tugged at Oriel.
Oriel sighed and sat up. "Alright… just give me a minute."
"Ok…" Kristine followed the band mates out.
Oriel stood and slugged over to the mirror. She gave herself a stern look, "Don't suck!"
"Well that's a pep talk if I ever heard one…"
Oriel's head snapped to the door, where Davin leaned against the frame, his dark hair styled with a mini Mohawk. He wore worn out levis and a fitting ACDC shirt. "Um…" Oriel swallowed.
Davin grinned and entered the room. "Stage fright?"
"Just a lit-" Her voice cracked.
He grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to her. "Here drink this, and try to relax."
She nodded and took a sip. "Thanks."
"Hey, no problem." He reached in his pocket. "I wanted to return this to you, it ah sorta hit me in the head that other night at a show."
Oriel's eyes widened and colour flushed her cheeks as she looked down at the c.d. "I'm so sorry."
"So, where you trying to peg me off?"
"Oh no. My God no! It was an accident. We were- oh my God- did I say sorry?"
He laughed. "It's cool. I'm glad actually cause I wouldn't have known about you guys. Actually I'm here to see you guys play tonight."
"You are the Slaughter Lilies, right?"
"That stage fright gone yet?"
"I think it might just have turned up a notch." She took another sip of her water. "I don't feel good."
"See, its just cause you're contracting on it. You gotta do something random and spontaneous to take you mind off it."
"FIVE MINUTE CALL"
"Oh ya… and what would you suggest?"
He shrugged. "No clue…"
"HEY YOU! LETS GO!" Someone yelled in the room
"I'm gonna be sick…" She shook her head.
"Easy there… think spontaneous!"
She paused. "How spontaneous?"
She nodded, and shook her head. "Alright…" She grabbed the front of his shirt, and kissed him.
He was a bit surprised at first but wasn't one to turn down a beautiful girl; he kissed her back, stepping into her frame and wrapping his arm her waist.
When they parted her cheeks and lips were a cherry red.
"That do the trick?" He questioned.
"I think so…"
"LETS GO!" The person screamed.
"Thanks for the suggestion…" She slipped from his grasp, and took off.
"Wow… I should give advise more often…" Davin grinned.
