Dissention
I
ran aground
Upon
the shore
Aft
altercation thrice with he
Who
assures a change,
A
false promise,
To
fair and noble acts,
But,
alas, my fears were justified,
If
I should return, he shall not
Denounce
his ways
And
turn to praise
All
that I am and am not.
Be
gone, foul demon of dissention's world,
Efface
yourself from my mind.
Come
not again to my peaceful world,
Away
in the dark of my mind.
One
autumn morn
I
fled thy house
To
seek refuge in my home,
To
make you see,
In
a different way,
My
will, my word, my life,
But,
alas, my fears were justified,
If
I should return, he shall not
Denounce
his ways
And
turn to praise
All
that I am and am not.
Be
gone, foul demon of dissention's world,
Efface
yourself from my mind.
Come
not again to my peaceful world,
Away
in the dark of my mind.
I
ran aground
Upon
the shore
Aft
altercation thrice with he
Who
assures a change,
A
false promise,
To
fair and noble acts,
But,
alas, my fears wee justified,
If
I should return, he shall not
Denounce
his ways
And
turn to praise
All
that I am and am not.
