How foolish am I
To trust your lies—
Those contemptible snakes
That silently wait
Inside your cavernous mouth.

Lie upon silver-coated lie
Slips from your mouth so soothing.
Even sleep aids, however fake,
Can sleep you into nothing.

Friends were we?
How could that be,
If I never knew
The factual you
And you never truly existed?

Lie upon silver-coated lie
Slips from your mouth so soothing.
Even sleep aids, however fake,
Can sleep you into nothing.

Though it started slow,
Now we know
You exist only
When you are lonely;
Apparition apart from your fictional world.

Lie upon silver-coated lie
Slips from your mouth so soothing.
Even sleep aids, however fake,
Can sleep you into nothing.

A/N- One of my friends, that I have known since first grade, has slowly evolved into a pathological liar. We have caught her saying some of the most outrageous things and actually expecting us to believer her. Right now... I'm not even sure if I can continue being her friend. How can you trust someone you never really knew?
