For I Wish

You knock me down again
And I stare into the sky
A cycle unbroken
And I wonder why

Why to anything
Why to everything
Soaring high above
These birds take wing

Far above here
Away from my trouble
Taking a soaring journey
Leaving behind the rubble

For once I wish
Just once upon a time
Those wings from my soul
Would let me climb

Sailing on the currents
Running on the breeze
The clouds take on my breath
The air it steals these

Apart and away
From all that I hate
Wandering on my journey
In my glorious fate

I become my sentance
My elegant solitude
Upon those clouds so high above
I sit up there and brood

This man he holds my anger
He holds my grace
And as I grow encouraged
My sigh changes it's pace
