"Hiding the Moon"
For: Love

Describe an eclipse, full, black, hiding

The small shimmer of an imperfect moon—

Organized, aligned and beautiful, keeping up

The natural years that string itself out like

Pulling a very white thread through three dark buttons—

Yet, the planets still hide that silver light,

The metallic flame sculpted into a grey ball

Hanging like a unique Chinese paper

Lantern in the sky-

People wonder what those planets hide

Behind certain lands of space; the protean romance

At a safe distance--

So they don't harm each other or their obsessive-compulsive

In the eclipse of the sky
