Spiritual Journeys: She Found Her Place
By Lady E

A brief comment: This is rather cliched, I admit it myself, but it is, nonetheless, a more-accurate-than-not portrait of my (perhaps "our") journey in the Lord, and it was inspired, as always, by God. I must confess though, I'm not very good at this at all... But anyway, for the Lord it is!

1.
I'm walking down the darkened streets,
shiv'ring in the cold,
wond'ring where I ought to be.

Chorus:
She left Your side yet again,
thinking she could find her place
somewhere else,
thinking she had better plans
without You.
But her spirit's desperate cry
brought her back. (brought her back)

2.
I search across the earth's expanse,
hoping for a spark,
one sign of life worth living.

Chorus:
She left Your side yet again,
thinking she could find her place
somewhere else,
thinking she had better plans
without You.
But her spirit's desperate cry
brought her back. (brought her back)

3.
I cower in the lion's den,
yearning for escape
from my own discordant thoughts.

Chorus:
She left Your side yet again,
thinking she could find her place
somewhere else,
thinking she had better plans
without You.
But her spirit's desperate cry
brought her back. (brought her back)

4.
I lift my eyes above the skies,
praying fervently
for the foolish girl I am.

Chorus:
She left Your side yet again,
thinking she could find her place
somewhere else,
thinking she had better plans
without You.
But her spirit's desperate cry
brought her back. (brought her back)

5.
I look within my selfish heart,
finding what I'd lost:
the love of One who never gave up.

Chorus:
She left Your side one last time,
and found that life only thrived
where you were,
and that the best place to be
was with You.
And her spirit's profuse joy
kept her there. (kept her there)
