Empty words

Bottomless chasms of a hoping,

Praying heart

One last vaccine

For a dying wish

Faithless surrender to the black night

Fearful that perhaps

One more breath will not be enough

To keep this fight from failing

Actions fail for loss of sight

Of the prize that is worth such waiting

For when the blazing emblem of the dream

It leaves even faster

Evanescent blooms

Of lackadaisical thoughts

In a mind full of daisies

Which lack the dayglow of an afterthought.

All fading, receding

Saturnity divine indeed

For empty words

But breed a creature of

Bitter unanswered loss.
