Tears

A small girl sits on the floor,

Because she now has a broken core.

Her father came home, smelling of whisky that night.

So she went and hid in her room, from fright.

He put his shoe through the wall,

Because his wife wouldn't answer his call.

Mom came down with sister,

Who cried "What are you doing mister?!"

He turned around in a flash.

Then the little girl heard a mighty crash.

He was throwing, ever more,

Pots and pans onto the floor.

Sister stood between, prepared to fight.

And father stopped at the sight.

"Get up to your room now, you worthless cow!!"

Sister ran up, as mother told him to get out now.

Little girl watched it all,

As she slid down her wall.

She said that she would hide her fears,

But she could not hide her tears.
