Snowing Roses, Bleeding Thorns
By Anne Hereatta

Blackened skies and raining rivers
Wilted petals floating from the ground

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?

My world is turning upside down
White roses, red snow

Your blood is seeping in the ground
Give me your hand and hold on tight

Take me home and heaven hold me
Take my tears up to the skies

God, be my savior and take thee away
My love, my life, my bleeding rose

Roses are red
Violets are dead

Old ryhmes are devouring my heart
Take my heart and fly away

Cold and defenseless, you've left me here
Songs and poems take over my mind

Ring around the roseys
Pocket full of poseys

Ashes, ashes,
We all fall down

Ashes, ashes
Are falling down

Bury me deep but not too cold
Lick me with thy firey breath

Kiss me one last time
Hold me just a little while

Until we say good-bye
Love is such a hurtful thing

The sky is snowing roses
And my body is bleeding thorns

Too late, you can't save me
I guess it wasn't meant to be

Good-bye my love, I'll see you soon
For death I see is in your eyes

A snowy rose and bleeding thorn
That is where your destiny lies

Author's Note: I don't know if you realized this, but the ending means that the girl/boy (I think of her as a girl, dunno about you) dies and in her loved one's eyes, she sees a snowy rose and bleeding thorn which means that he (her loved one) is destined to die with her.
