Blankets of white powder

Specked with crimson

Somewhere a body lies

Shivering, wrapped in a shroud of death

Breath slowing

Eyes shutting

Blood ceasing

He shouldn't have done that to me

I loved him

But my love was just a game to him

He used me, he beat me, he fucked me

Then he left me

Broken and tired of his domination

Of his laughing at my torment and confusion

He walked away knowing his victory

But in defeat, I was born anew

I became stronger, wiser, colder

Nothing could, nothing can, stop me

I saw him in the streets

As the flakes began to fall

I followed him home

The flakes fell harder, faster

I slipped in through an unlocked window

The flakes fell harder, faster

I waited for him to sleep

The flakes fell harder, faster

I stood over him, watching him breathe

The flakes fell harder, faster

I shed a tear as I plunged my knife through him

The flakes fell harder, faster

I dragged him down the stairs and into the night

The flakes fell hardest, fastest

I buried him, then walked away

The flakes ceased to fall

And the sun came up
