At the edge of
time and space and thought
I turn and remember what you brought
The joy, laughter, and occasional tears
You gave to me over the past few years
With all the emotions between us caught.
All the time that we had spent
Now seems to me that it went
So quickly by, and now is no more
It seems that fate has left no room for
Me to explain what I meant.
But I will practice what to say
And continually watch the way
You left my life, but I will cope
And watch for you for the hope
That you just might return someday.
