It's raining,
Lightning and thunder follows,
And I hear footsteps in the pouring rain,
And saw her walk past me,
I feel her heartbeat as if it was my own,
And as tears falls from heaven,
I felt her soul cleansed,
Every dirt and sin washed away,
By the continuous never-ending drops,
And I hear sounds emerging from the houses,
As I continue to wait,
The cold rain cleanses my soul.
It's raining,
I could still hear the cries from the houses,
I could still hear the shouts and screams,
And then…
I saw a girl running away from her nightmare,
She was barely dressed,
And I continued to feel her pain then,
The same pain as before,
The same agonizing hurt,
And I could feel the rain wash her unclean body.
It's raining,
She ran away again,
I was in the rain, waiting when she ran past by me,
And I followed her,
I saw her tears,
I saw her bruises,
And rain continue to fall heavily,
I hear the screams of frustration from her soul as soft as it may be,
I hear thunder erupting as if corresponding with her cries,
And she was afraid of everything,
I left leaving behind a red umbrella to shelter her.
It's raining,
I waited for her outside,
And listened to the loud thuds if the falling rain,
Movement of trees could be seen,
The night was cold,
I was waiting for her…
It's still raining,
Where is she?
Why isn't she here?
I continued to wait,
And soon the rain stopped,
Leaving me alone,
It's raining,
She's here!
I could see her!
My heart beats and the louder it beats, the heavier the rain,
I get to see her …again,
I wanted to tell her, speak to her,
At least talk to her,
As I ran towards her,
Rain grew heavier,
Thunder and lightning visited and grew louder,
I was happy,
But before I knew it,
I hear the screeching of car brakes,
I hear loud noises and piercing sounds,
And soon enough …
Silence,
Only empty silence greeted me,
She was gone,
I couldn't find her,
I searched and searched, every street, lane,
But she wasn't there,
I still continue to wait and wait,
But it was no use,
She never came back.
It's raining,
I still feel my empty soul cry out,
And I still relive my past,
I'm alone …all alone,
And only the rain falling is heard,
Accompanying me,
And forever I see,
My drowned eternity of repeated events,
As the rain continues to cleanse my soul.
