A world apart

My name is Anne Hathaway, and I am a witch. A real witch, not on of those spell slinging sisters from charmed, nor am I a worshiper of the devil. I am a real witch. I am a proud member of the Wiccan community and I am a loving daughter and sister. I don't curse people, I don't have a big black cauldron And I DO NOT kill animals.

I am a young woman with hopes and dreams just like everyone else. I am a person, not a label. I am what I am and I refuse to be anything but. I am no liar, I am not thief. That's why when I tell you my tale you must believe me, the fate of our world depends on it.

Our world is a very special place, full of hopes and dreams, love and honor. And while our world is home to all of these things it is also the home of hatred and bigotry. Murder and lies are what our homes are built on, this is was our mistake.

The earth is a swirling mass of energy, mostly positive, that shines the brightest in the universe, but our light isn't always so bright.

Chapter 1: hopes

For a midwinter day it was an unusually humid day. The sun Shone over the quiet Brooklyn neighborhood known as Clinton hills. The ground was covered with the melting snow and the sounds of children playing in the nearby Laffette Park drifted through the air.

For such a usually quiet place it was quite loud this day. There was just something in the air, something new, Strange and unfamiliar to me. I noticed it the moment I stepped out onto the porch of my apartment building. I could feel the energy in the air, vibrating through me. It was positively unnerving.

As I went about my day I realized that I wasn't the only one who felt the massive amounts of positive and negative energies that surrounded us. Everyone was outside un masse, fighting, arguing, making friends, the negative and the positive. There was something going on, something out of the ordinary, something I just couldn't place my finger on. Something dynamic was going on and I had to find out what.

My first clue came to me later that day as I walked towards the public Library as I always do And I noticed something odd, very odd for such a warm day, A young girl, no more than six or seven, wearing a thick jacket. Had this been any other day I may not have noticed her, but it being the hottest day all winter I questioned if she had something to do with the strange energies that I felt, a thought that I wouldn't normally associate with a lost little girl.

I walked towards her, slowly, casually, perhaps a bit too casual. She saw me and stopped dead in her tracks. She looked directly into my eyes and I saw, I don't know what I saw but I know that I saw something, Something amazing and pure in her eyes, I knew who she was immediately. I could feel it in the very pit of my stomach.

"Anne" She said, "I have been Waiting for you." She moved closer to me and I noticed for the first time what she was wearing. I t wasn't a coat, It was a robe a long white robe that stopped just above her bare ankles, She had such beautiful long sliver hair that reached almost to the floor, Such silky tresses. Her eyes were blue, deep pools of pure light and love.

"You-yo-you were waiting for me? Why?" I was visibly shaking now, but I wasn't scared. I was far from scared. There was just something about her voice that was soothing and just so peaceful.

"You know who I am Anne. Don't you?" she looked at me curiously. I nodded slowly. My long black hair falling in front of my eyes.

didn't I have it pulled into a bun?

"Are you Hectate?" I asked imploringly. She shook her head, A slight smile playing on her lips. 'I mean- sorry I mean uh I just don't know."

She laughed, "Don't worry about it. It's no big deal what you call me. As long as you know what I am. As long as you know the truth, As long as you have a feeling." She took my hand. "Walk with me, aren't you heading somewhere? You can't reach your destination by just standing there no can you?" She tightened her grip on my hand slightly.

"No, there no way that.. who put you up to this? Was it Jazmyne? Or was it Rosie? Because if this is a joke I don't think this is funn-"She looked at me once more.

"You don't have to believe what you don't want to believe Anne. But you know the truth. I am the goddess, I am the God I am the all, I am the none. I am Bast, Circe, Hectate, Kali Ma, Jehovah, God, Zeus, Apollo. I am What ever you want my name to Be. But for now I am A little girl a little girl is what I am. What are you?"
