All the things I meant to say

But you could never hear me

I held you close a thousand times

But only in my dreams

You lived your life with all your heart

Oblivious to my pain

I don't blame you

How could I?

You're the one thing in my life I loved

When you were around

My pain seemed far away

I always meant to tell you

Though I never got the chance

Knowing you seemed good enough

Until your heart was captured

You loved them fully

You loved them truly

And I was but a friend

Though it pained me to see you with another

Your smile made me glad

I've always wanted to tell you

You fill up my heart

There's no one ever

Living or dead

That could take the place of you

Just feel in your heart

When all else fails
