Gypsy

Little butterflies run around her

They color her splendid wings

They swarm around her when she sings

Creatures of air

Knew their own kind

But to their dismay

Their gypsy ran away

And she played that tambourine

Pretty gypsy queen

Of freedoms throne

Wouldn't let her life drone

And she danced under the moon

To the Mother she would swoon

Daughter of peace

And lover of release

Never thought we would lose her

Our little gypsy queen

The river has never been the same

Since the blanket of ice came

She warmed up its sick body, her sister

By giving it a warm fever, never sinister

As she swam through the banks

The water purifying her just as thanks

Because a warm body in the middle of winter

Is like snow in the desert plain

It calms the longing

Oh, they miss their gypsy queen

Of freedoms throne

Wouldn't let her life drone

And she danced under the moon

To the mother she would swoon

Daughter of peace

And lover of release

Never thought we would lose her

Our little gypsy queen

I wish I never lost her

But I think I can find her

I hope she has not been lost my mind

I must rid myself of this bad karma aching

I need my place to return

Instead of being chained

I am the gypsy

Held captive by herself

Until she can feel freedom running through her veins

I know she isn't dead

Just waiting to be revived

With a kiss of the rain

Or a hug from the wind

Come to me my angel beauties

Come to me my river sweet

I need you to wake me up

Or forever I will sleep
