What You See

We all hurt and we all scream

We all cry and we all dream

But what we dream about is a different matter

I breathe in and watch the world around me shatter

What you see

Isn't me

'Cause I don't know who I am

So I don't know how you can

How can you put the world back to the way it was

And how can you stand there and give me the answer because

How can you expect me to believe

All these lies you fabricate and weave

I watched the world break and crack

I pick up the pieces and try to put them back

But they don't fit the way they did before

So they lay scattered across the marble floor

I hold my pillow tight 'cause it's all one big blur

I try to stand up tall even though I'm so unsure

I need to keep breathing even though I'm falling

I need to hold on even though the chaos is calling

What you see

Isn't me

'Cause I don't know who I am

So I don't know how you can

How can you put the world back to the way it was

And how can you stand there and give me the answer because

How can you expect me to believe

All these lies you fabricate and weave
